IMHO R is a better solution for graphing etc than Tableau. You can create stand alone pages that are not dependent on license.

Go to Facebook. Startup data scientist roles are like statisticians with computer science major graduate' coding skills. Some of Facebook data science teams hired a lot of psychology undergraduate and graduate with master degree. A lot of FB DS roles are quite fit for candidate with PM background.
