Hi all, looking for some advice. I have 10 years of experience in accounting and finance as a CPA. I have worked in external audit, project finance, office of the CFO, financial investigations, and AML/BSA lookback reviews. I have worked in consulting for past 5 years. I would like to consider transitioning into IT for a number of reasons. It appears that there is a lot of buzz surrounding a number of industries including my own subject to automation. Secondly, it appears that certain IT entry level positions are highly compensated without requiring me to do an MBA or other degree program which is preferable given my family commitments. Now I realize there would be a transition period but I am hoping for a quicker transition going this route vs the MBA route. I have been considering the following two avenues that appear to hold a lot of value, at least in the medium term. I just do not know whether I would actually enjoy the work: 1. software developer 2. machine learning/artificial intelligence My objectives in the next role would be to better align myself on a career track with work that I find enjoyable, higher compensation, and better quality of life. What are some resources or things I should consider in my search for new opportunities? Thank you.
Are you over 35? Good luck.
I am 33. What do you mean with your statement?
A nano degree in the related field would help you! You need a lot of learning and practice as you are new to this field You can use leetcode for practice
Thank you. What are the criteria to determine whether a nano degree field is a good fit?
