Hello friends, I recently left my job at uber to start this startup and am looking for an angel investment (or multiple) between 10k-50k to fund our first pilot program. We’re a team of 3, a Data scientist (me), an engineer, and a PhD in the field of the problem we are working on solving with our technology. If you’re interested in potentially being an angel investor and hearing my pitch, I would love to talk. I have a very in-depth presentation about our plan. PM me if you’re interested! TC: $0k (for now 😉)
Is the PhD also in engineering?
There are three of you and you can’t afford 50k on your own?
Correct answer
Did you talk to any angel investors before posting here ?
I think a brief summary of what your startup is about might draw some attention.
YC takes time and energy to crack - lot of competition
Let’s talk
I’ll PM you :)
You are barking in the wrong tree.. good angels are supposed to help you with connections/help your with the Seed/A round. Don’t just take any angel money and have ‘dirty’ cap table. You will be fucked later.. if you can’t afford 50k then don’t do this. You will need 3x than you need and you will waste time chasing small checks
Not necessarily. While I can see your viewpoint this might be a great place to find fellow engineering partners who can provide both capital, mentorship and even technical/business help. VCs are highly overrated and unless your reputation is already hot as fuck the major ones are far less hands on then they want you to think. Just a counter point to consider. Both arguments have valid parts.
Ex-uber = garbage. Honestly you deserve to fail.
Dude don’t be rude
Why this bullying, gjjjangbir.
Not sure I understand. Say again?
Good content. With all the high TC talk and retire early goals, it would ideally be easy to get that amount of funding.
