No longer interested in being an assistant and want to focus on building career longevity. I’m fairly hopeless, tech-wise, however. What are some entry level skills I should learn to attempt to transition into tech/tech-adjacent?

Background/skills: operations, graphic design, budget management, writing, people person.

Depends on your background. If you speak great English, like working with people and have good common sense you could become Project Manager. Here people claim QA job is dead but everywhere I go, I still see people working there.

What do you want to do? Explore your interests at a high level and then hone in on those skills.

Note that if you wanted to do design, UX is really lucrative, but it’s a little tough to build your experience at first. Same with coding, to some degree, but you don’t need to go back to school to pursue either of those things.

Thank you. I’m very much in an exploratory phase at the moment and appreciate the thoughtful answer.
