Currently L7 Product Manager-T at amzn. While I'm looking for internal opportunities, I'm also open to external roles. I've heard that at Microsoft, the title is actually program manager. Is that what I should be looking for, or has that changed recently? I'm doing my research on the side, but haven't really decided on a specific product - at this point open to all opportunities. If anybody has availability to chat (recruiter, manager) please do let me know. Current tc: 253k
If you’re an L7 and are applying to Program Manager roles (not senior, or principal) you’ll have big drop in comp
Still called program manager, L7 at Amazon you'd probably want to aim for low principal?
Thanks! Not sure what you mean by "aim for low principal?". L7 at Amazon = low/early principal PM at msft?
Yeah you could maybe even get higher principal if you've got the experience / interview well I assume, it's hard to guage bc Microsoft has like 3 principal levels
Is Product management similar to Program management?

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?
