Which destination is good in terms of stay/sightseeing/cleanliness of the beaches. We are planning to stay at an all inclusive resort (family friendly).
It's a toss up, you are likely to get killed in either.
I’ll be staying at an all inclusive resort. I won’t be venturing out into the town. I’m guessing the resorts are safe place.
Stayed at all inclusive Excellence Riviera Maya, it was awesome and highly recommend. Much more to see and do in Cancun vs Cabo. Can go to Cancun proper, Tulum ruins, playa del carmen, cozymel, tons of cool stuff. Cabo is fun but basically Mexican Vegas, so if you just looking to party then go there. Cabo beaches are probably cleaner I'd say.
A lot of NFL players, NBA players have been vacationing in Cabo this year ... so if it’s good for them, it’s probably good for you. There are parts of Cabo where it’s not advised for you to go into the water off the beach purely because the currents are so strong. So if you really want beach time, double check the location and water rules. But TBH the pool setup at these resorts in Cabo can be pretty amazing.
Why go so far and not visit Chichen Itza?

Yes, it was the same at Cancun (June 18). We had fun at the resorts though!
