What happens if some one loses job while he/she is on H1B? Do big tech companies like FANG agree to transfer H1B if the person clears interview? How easy is this?
Technically you are illegal the second you are fired. That's how H1B works. You might be layed off and then get 60 days of tehnically still legal employment. Being in an invalid status ... it all depends how much you are willing to risk being denied H1b renew /GC
Check your sources. The 60 day grace period became an official rule in January 2017. https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2016/11/18/2016-27540/retention-of-eb-1-eb-2-and-eb-3-immigrant-workers-and-program-improvements-affecting-high-skilled

Are startups willing to sponsor a h1b petition
Many are. Many aren’t. It depends. When in doubt, ask up front.

How to save India from destruction?
You get 60 days to find another employer to send in an H1B petition. Once the petition is filed, you’re good. Any company can transfer the H1B, not just FANG.
Thanks for the info. I was just giving example of few big tech companies. Do companies agree to transfer H1B easily ? How difficult is it to find a new sponser given that you can clear interviews?
Most tech companies are willing to sponsor a H1b petition. “Transferring” (which is not really transferring but officially called “change of employer”) is easier to do than a new H1b petition because it is cap exempt. If you can get an offer, they will file a petition. The minute they file a petition and get a receipt, you can start working for them. Try to push for premium processing so you get a decision in 2 weeks.
