In my final semester in my MS program and I already secured a high paying job on completion. I worked pretty hard throughout my program but I have kinda slowed down and become lazy and unmotivated in this my last semester. Same happened in my undergrad. Don’t know if it’s because I already have a job or it’s just cos it’s my last sem. Anyone else feels this way?
I did the same. Kind of regret it now. Ended up going back to school / taking online courses to learn what I should have learned. This was much harder to do as I was working full time in a startup. What I would suggest is make your course interesting and learn for knowledge - not for grades - they don’t matter anymore
It’s quite normal, you can relax a bit but make sure you maintain your grades. Don’t let your overall go down because of your last semester. Though grades doesn’t matter in the long run, short term, yes.
Once I got my offer I also lost some motivation. The only thing to do is finish it and get on to real life
There is a threshold phenomenon with your meeting. As long as you're in the comfortable pass territory, they will never matter again. But I do agree with the poster that says try to do interesting things and learn things you find cool. Having the time to do so once you have a FT job is much harder.

Push through and get it done! Almost there
Buy a house. You'll love your job !
He did’t loose motivation for job but for last semester that doesn’t matter to him because he already got a job. The replies about getting into a huge debt as motivation in multiple posts on Blind are dumb.
Aww look at you acting all tough on an anonymous forum. Are you rich enough to buy a house without getting into debt? Looking at the fact that you're from a no-name company, I'm guessing not. So SFTU.
Once I got my offer I gained lots of motivation to finish my MS early, to the point that I converted to coursework-only (no thesis) and finished it in 1 semester (instead of 3).
