Why do you squeeze women out of tech , boys? In finance we have nearly 50-50. We treat women equally. I think it’s time to deal with discrimination of women in tech
It wasn’t always like that. When I started working in the 90s, bro culture had not taken hold yet. I worked on teams that were almost 50/50 until the early 2000s. The last team where I felt there was gender equity was at a financial services start-up, and I think it was partly because senior management really valued culture. I do think that Finance as a whole has it figured out, although there could be more women executives in the C-suite. Fin-tech, on the other hand, by nature of being driven by tech bros, seems to be pushing gender inequity back into fashion.
