Does that even exist in the corporate world? Start ups? Private? Public?
Small startups tend to see their people as essential teammates, not commodities. Speaking from experience. Bigger teams you have to fight for respect. Loyalty for the sake of loyalty.... You're in the wrong field in the wrong decade, my friend.
Big corps are inherently hypercompetitive - don't expect to make real friends at work unless they work in an unrelated field. Small companies, people are usually competing for execs/investors attention to get the most equity or next promotion. This is why I went back to T-Mobile. After ten years in tech it's the only one that has a cooperative corporate culture. And it's working wonders.
Wrong question. Are employers obliged to treat employees fairly? No. Legal and social protections that used to exist have been getting gutted ever since Reagan was elected. The only reason an employer will treat you fairly is if they like you.
