Moving with interviews at the two. What to expect for a L64 Sr Software Engineer?

SpaceX comp is very very very bad. I wouldn't expect more than 200-250 total comp.

What a world, $250k is very very very bad. We (everyone on blind) are the problem.

For the workload, that total comp is pretty high honestly. SpaceX pays their software engineers less than others and the hours are long long long(65-80/week). @arjw68, it’s probably $115k base, so take into account CA taxes that’s ~70k take home. 2.5k/month for rent/utilities, that’s 30k a year gone, so $40k, car payments - $325/month that’s another 4K. Down to 36. Food is ~$350/month so we’re down to about $30k take home. Likely student loans, at ~$400/month. Another $5k down. So $25k take home at this point. Add in clothes, entertainment, medical, gas, travel and it dwindles fast.

Comp isnt the biggest factor. working for a small company right now, working crazy hours on crap projects for 150k base and profit sharing (but dont trust them to pay out honnestly).
