I am offered L7 PM at Facebook and Director of PM at Lyft. Comp is higher at Lyft due to Paper money. Overall, it’s close enough and money won’t be the deciding factor. Which role would you recommend and why? It seems to me like Lyft VP = FB Director, so in this case role is probably similar ?
Lyft is in trouble. At my local grocer the magazine aisle is full of ads. Then I went to get a sample but they were out. Another friend of mine has an atm card that doesn’t work. My mom called and she’s in a bad way debt wise. Listens to Dave Ramsey. You’re debt free. Are you? Did you see those home prices. Man. Burritos are really popular but are losing ground to bread. A shame. I remember when airplanes had more than 20 wheels. You should take a job at Lyft because life is short.
Drop the joint.
I thought people were just lying and trolling about Jet, but oh god what have New Jersey and Walmart done to you poor Jet souls. It’s endless talk of grocery and ads. Now you guys working on Store8 and experimenting with AR shopping? Fucking Christ. Someone please shut this down. Shut it down!
Numbers are like 600K for FB and $750K for Lyft all in. But adjusting for paper I consider them similar
L7 at FB is the level right below Director - it’s essentially group Pm
i can confirm that's correct.
FB. You’ll actually be managing product and creating something new from insights and data. At Lyft, you’ll just be copycatting Uber.
Did you already cash out at Dropbox?
Go for Lyft... With Google partnership and their platform for self driving cars, I think they are in a strong position. Even is Uber is successful (which I doubt), the industry will be large enough for multiple players.
How many years of experience do you have?
Lyft.
What level is L7 ?
7
Very funny, I meant what role is L7
