I'm thinking to start studying for MBA, so I have a few questions . What MBA school were you ? How long did it take you to get into the program? How much did you spend on your degree ? We're there any unexpected obstacles you ran into ? Any relevant advice is appreciated.

Most MBAs I've talked to will begrudgingly admit that it's really just an extremely expensive way to live like a student again for a year, and that the actual material gives little benefit. It's really a networking degree. But even that's done poorly, since you can build your network up more and faster on your own if you're proactive. If you want to be serious about progressing your career and want to save $200k, do the following two things: 1. Read three books. One on managerial accounting, one on corporate finance, and one on consulting strategy. Study them thoroughly and apply them whenever possible. Don't just skim through, hold yourself to a standard. You'll know more than any recent MBA grad already. Then you can add a fourth book based on what you need to learn about (HR, VC, legal, whatever...) 2. Schedule a weekly networking time and budget for yourself, and use it. Networking is for your career, so treat it as such. If you do, you'll come out with more useful contacts than any recent MBA, who most likely focused on only their class for the duration of the program. You also won't need that resume stamp of a prestigious MBA either, since it will be your network that will provide you with work, not random recruiters.
Sometimes recruiters are best person to network with. They get you to HM and can vouch for you
What’s your goal? Only worth it for non tech fields. https://www.forbes.com/sites/forbestechcouncil/2018/05/29/do-i-need-an-mba-to-be-a-product-manager-in-tech/
