Has anyone done MBA after being an engineer for a while? What was the experience? Was it worth it ?

Been a engineer for 8 yrs now. Continue to be one. Hoping to complete my MBA in 2020. So far it’s been a great experience. Lots to learn. But how it will impact my career, only time will tell. It does make you think differently and opens up different opportunities.

Does the college matter? Heard MBA is all about networking. If you have a prestigious (expensive) college, better the opportunities

I’ve seen folks from not so good colleges do well and folks from good schools just meander along in their career. One has to still take the opportunities. A better ranked school does in my opinion provide a better network and the brand name will help you in the initial phase of job hunting. But you should figure out why you want to do one before getting into it.

Why did you decide to do one. Genuinely curious. What kinds of doors do you think it is going to open for you?

Yes college (and only that) matters. Mba education itself is useless
