Which specialization(mergers and acquisitions, investments, Taxes) of MBA in finance in the US has the best scope? Does prior work experience play an important run in job search post masters? Can you please shed light more about the market in this field?

M&A only if you’re going to a major program

Investments for other schools. Like state schools. Prepare to be underpaid. You’re not trading/investing just doing research for the investors.

Don’t waste time on taxes. You’ll be competing with CPAs and Tax lawyers.

Information Management if your program offers it. So you can return and make IT type salary as a (process) manager

    Best of luck.

What do you mean by scope? What would you want to do after school?

Assuming a full time program, prior work experience matters, but not a ton. It will matter more if Doug part time.

The market is good for the top schools. Business schools all have job reports that show you starting salaries, employment rates, etc.
