Has anyone applied to a top mba program like Berkeley with gre scores and made it through ? I would love to do the gre route only
Thank you
Screw GRE. It is all about RSU.
I finished HAAS and I had decent GRE scores, but I took GMAT three times before applying to get the score I wanted. Are you going for full time or part time at HAAS?
What score did you get on the GRE and what role do you have in industry now?
Part time ... why did you not apply with gre then? Or did you apply with GRE?
Think of GMAT score as your commitment to the program. The time you put in preparing and getting a good score shows how interested you are in getting in. Gmat score doesnt show how smart you are but demonstrates your focus, dedication, and perseverance. If you dont even take GMAT, it sends a different message. Also, think that it will be easier for admissions committee to rank u with GMAT score vs GRE score. How recent is your GRE? Also keep in mind that your GMat score isnt that relevant to part time. Your experience is a lot more so
I’m about to take my gre. And yes this is for part time. I absolutely just hate the gmat verbal. I do great in gre verbal
Yea I hear you, but my recommendation would be to take gmat for haas. I havent met anyone in the program who hasnt. I struggled with verbal as well on gmat. Give urself ample time to prep 6mo or so and you’ll do great. Take the the test a few times as well. It helps. I did 3 times.
Are u currently doing ur mba at haas ? Part time or full time?
Haven't heard of anyone taking the gre. Gmat for sure. Also don't waste your time on the part time. Do full time if you're going to haas, wasting your money otherwise (I did full time at haas)
There's a chart I believe. 90% on GMat is = to 95% on GRE - or something like that. So if you're 95% on GRE it should be ok. I don't think your score would be an issue. Bschools are aware that gre people score higher so compensate with a material gain in score.
