I have applied for a senior engineer position and Recruiter insists on me providing target base to get the process started. 1. Does 10+ yoe generally map to senior level? 2. Is a specific band(for example, 63 or 66, not senior or principal) set for a job posting? If this job is 63, is there any wiggle room for 64 as well? 3. What is the annual stock refresher look like? I understand bonus is generally 15%, up to 30% 4. What is the base salary range like?
Check out http://levels.fyi
I have looked at it but it ties up all bands within the same level (e.g., 65/66/67 for principal all have the same data). The numbers are different from what i see on blind, too
1. Generally yes. 2. There is a level set for each job position but it’s referential, the decision is at discretion of the hiring manager. You can hire a L61 for a job posted as L64 and vice versa. 3. At L63/64 refresher amount is similar to bonus amount. Superstar might be able to get 50k, most people get 20-30k. 4. Most people in that band get somewhere between 145k-170k. Extremes I know in real life are 135k and 185k.
Super helpful. Thank you!
Median for L63 is around 147k and for 64 around 160k.
