The pay is much lower than in MSR Redmond. Many people try to move to Redmond, but it used to be hard. I don't know if it is anymore. I heard you can get a crazy number of interns every summer.
How much is the TC in MSR Redmond?
You can look it in levels.fyi as a researcher you join at level 63. You make the same as every other senior engineer. Any senior engineer makes a lot more than people at Microsoft in China

If you like a sweat shop type of publication schedule, then go for it. If you are non-Chinese, be careful. Redmond is more chill and harder to get in.
