So, I'll have an onsite interview at Google next week, for ML SWE position. What to expect? I'm doing Leetcode, but will ML algo questions pop up? Googled that question, the consensus is it's a generic SWE interview, with no ML. Any insiders to confirm/oppose? My schedule seems strange though, only 4 hours, no lunch break, or only 3 interviews ;-/
Please share as you know more. Will be very useful!
One interview would be applied ML. It depends on the interviewer. It may be more like ML trivia/concepts or a ML design round. The bar for coding rounds is same as SWE. Recruiter is the best person to get more info. Google recruiters are super helpful in general.
I heard they are doing 3+2 in two on site rounds, to reduce the interviewing load on the employees. If first 3 goes well they'll call for next. Ask the recruiter. They would know.
OP, please tell us about the process once you find out. We're all curious
What kind of questions do they ask you for the online coding round? im guessing it will be mostly DS and algo, do they ask ML questions too?
My interviews were done last month. 4 coding interviews + 1 ML interview which focused on my previous ML project. Level 4.
Which focus did you pick in ML interview?
ask your recruiter. ml sde is a relatively "new" track and is supposed to cover ml algo in the interviews. can def vary across levels though.
