      Most U.S. based contractors pay crap these days.

      Honestly the way to go is overseas, you pay no taxes, I was making a 130k a year tax free in Eastern Europe and Asia. Cost of living was nothing.

    On the flipside of that, IMO some companies might tactically hire more h1b workers to reduce turnover. Just a thought. Especially if they’re “promised” a greencard. It’s just very sad to see all these talented h1 workers rotting in a shitty place just because of h1 / waiting for gc
