Is he really overflowing with the milk of human kindness? Has he always been like that? How authentic is that dude?
Honestly I’m not sure but I get the feeling he wants to get into politics. Could be wrong.
Employee here so my few cents. Amazing CEO... We see everything he says and does reflected within the company so it’s no sham that he puts on for publicity. There are initiatives like volunteer time off which encourages employees to help communities. It’s a multiplier effect he has on his employees and community and it seems to be working. If someone has figured out a formula for having multiplier effect and wants to get in politics i would support it.
He is a half CEO. We have two CEOs now. One for kindness and one for ruthless business.
Work at Salesforce. Read “Behind the Cloud” - the culture was set since Day 1. You can’t fake that. I don’t begrudge him for wanting to do bigger things.
I appreciate all the good he does and he does seem like a great CEO, but interacting with him on a personal basis: I had a friend who met him and said he was an asshole who acted like he didn’t exist when they were in a suite together at a sporting event. He treated everyone around him this way.
He is one of those CEOs who don't believe in paying their own employees well, but would rather donate that extra money to other poor people. Have a few friends from Salesforce, all have the same story.
Pays better than other places... who also donate to homeless...
He invested millions to correct pay inequality at salesforce .. seems legit
