Start with the total population, bucket it by age/location/gender/language or whatever suits your product best. Estimate people in each bucket for that market. Take into account any upcoming market changes that may affect you/your competitors. Account for yoy growth of your market for each bucket, and project it to the time period you plan to launch your product.

Typically any kind of sizing can be done in 3 ways. 1) Top down: start with the economy/ broader market and continue to segment to get to addressable market. 2) Bottom up: start with individuals/ households to get to addressable market 3) Supply/ demand side: Start with the supply/ demand side assuming that’s the constraint
