Well 18cm if you're an engineer you're exactly the reason salespeople usually dislike engineers. You're not special, just cuz you spent the time to learn coding doesn't make you better than anyone. Treat people how you would like to be treated and you'll be much happier.
I’d be surprised if marketing girls and sales guys could figure out how to sign in to Blind 😬
Sales my whole life, you priveldeged clowns ain't special.
Privileged? It’s not privilege when you get well-compensated because your talents are in-demand. It’s talent.
You think you created this environment where this skill set is the most highly compenstaed skill set right now? Please bruh, you better thank the environment your parents created for your priveldeged ass to think it's talent. LOL.
1:If good technology sold itself, Google Cloud would have blown Azure out of the water by now. So let's put this notion that engineers are talented while sales is not aside. 2:Engineers are in demand not because of talent but primarily due to a supply shortage. Been on both sides of the fence and have a massive amount of respect for good sellers. 3: to answer OPs question: most are nerds with little social skills. But the ones that don't bury themselves in their little world and are willing to learn from customers or sales are special!
In retail sector, there's a huge disconnect between the field (sales) and engineers. Field in general usually feels that they are the ones doing the heavy lifting (handling customers and actually selling the product) and the corporate doesn't understand the real 'business'. As is always the case, there are two sides to this story.
