I’m from New Zealand and I want to move to New York and score a marketing gig there in tech. I’ve been doing growth marketing for a few years now and am currently at Uber. Any advice on how to score a job there when I arrive? Recruitment agencies? Just apply online?
Do you know if NZ citizens can have a special type of visa (Australians do) which allow them to avoid H1b lottery? If not and you do have a gc your best shot is uber
I have an Aussie passport! I’m e3 eligible. Should I highlight that in my cv so I don’t get auto rejected?
I would def do that! As for agencies the biggest marketing in the Bay are Robert half creative group and creative circle. But many roles are contracts. So I assume they have offices in NYC. However big tech firms usually hire directly
Tech Marketing ? Salesforece? Oracle, Adobe.....
If you require visa, fastest route might be get a role in uber HQ so you don’t have to go through H1B lottery
In my experience, third party recruiting firms can only offer access to small-mid size companies who don’t have the resources to build out an internal recruiting team. If you have specific tech companies in mind, I recommend applying directly.
