Masters, just to get into ML?

I got my bachelors 3 yrs ago and working at Oracle since. I want to move into ML positions but I’m not finding positions without prior experience. Is going back to college to get a Masters the only way? Tc:120k

A master's wouldn't hurt but whenever I want to break into new tech I build a side project to the point where I think it's acceptable to include on my resume. I don't see why this wouldn't work with ML. FWIW OMSCS has an ML specialization. https://www.omscs.gatech.edu/specialization-machine-learning

That would not work if your employers doesn’t allow side projects

How did it work out? Did you feel it’s worth it? Did you have to get a thesis?
