Amazon is reportedly developing a messaging app called "Anytime" and may be planning a meal-kit service that rivals Blue Apron (NASDAQ:APRN), sending shares of the popular meal kit provider to new lows.
it's not like meal kits are a new thing, they are sold at Amazon Go, I think made by the in house kitchens. WF might bring scale, but not the concept.
not new concept. current investors likely scared for good reason. amazon being serious about this means growth is going to be slower than what was expected before, as Amazon competes for customer acquisition, and profit margins are competed away because it's Amazon and that's what they do. Amazon will have better scaling/logistics almost guaranteed out the gate. wish I shorted apron, always comes as an after thought even when I have strong opinion.
It makes sense, yep it's the SCALE and foot print! . Mobile app "anytime" makes it more easy altogether for an end customer

Why don't we see anytime app yet , if it's a universal thing that every one knows. For an Amazon insider everything seems quite obvious, not for outsiders my bud
