I'm looking to transition to product management. I've been told that Medallia likes to pull people from Professional Services into product management. Is there any truth to this? Also, I'm surprised by the rather low Glassdoor rating for Medallia. From what I've seen so far, it seems like a company with a pretty good culture. Can any Medallia employees provide some insight on the Glassdoor rating?
It was a company with pretty good culture. Then we replaced our CEO who replaced our CFO, both of whom DGAF about culture.
I'm a new self important 25 yo manager. Can confirm professional services is the worst place to be. The vast majority of people in PS are looking to leave.
Has professional services gotten significantly worse because of the changes in leadership or has it always been like this?
Medallia was suppose to IPO last year. I wonder how Qualtrics acquisition helped or hurt those chances. I’m sure new CEO and CFO is singularly focused on some exit this year before economy sours.
these are lies ! Professional services at Medallia is glorified tech support and don’t expect to get to product unless you’re super lucky - has to be a blend of being capable and sucking up to the right people. The recruiter is straight up lying to you. Stay away from professional services it’s a complete shit show. Chances are your people manager will be a self important 25 year old who doesn’t know the difference between micromanagement and developing people
