From what I heard, in term of median promotion timeline e3 -> e4 at Facebook takes 1-1.5y and e4 -> e5 is like 2y. While l3 -> l4 and l4 -> l5 take 1.5-2y and 2.5y respectively at Google. Are the above numbers correct?
I got news for you I don't know anyone who got to L5 in less than ~10Y experience. There is almost nobody under 35 at L5. It's a big step up from L4.
