Miami vs Las Vegas???

I work remotely, young single male, and I don't want to pay state income tax. I'll save 700$ by moving.

I'm thinking to move to Miami on the beach or Las Vegas on the strip. What are the pros and cons? I'll get a condo.

I'm thinking Las Vegas because it's cheaper and the condos are newer.

I'm open to other locations too, but heavily preferring no state income tax.

OP, go to Vegas. Miami is better without you in it.

The places in a $140 TC price range in Miami will have far more crime than Vegas. OP, I hope you know Spanish and enjoy drivers with no insurance or citizenship.

Miami is fun everyday. Las Vegas will be boring after a couple of days in the strip clubs

Oh yeah, world-class night clubs in Vegas are the worst, right?

Living in a tourist trap gets boring when you're not a tourist. Miami always has the beach, all kinds of diverse neighborhoods plus great clubs

Diverse? If OP doesn't know Spanish, that's probably a little too diverse for most.

$700 a year? That's nothing and it shouldn't be relevant to your decision. If you're looking to move just to save $700, you need to reevaluate a few things.

If you're that concerned with price and saving money, Vegas is the way to go.

Sounds like you’re set on Vegas and want ppl to convince you to go to Miami. Most ppl on blind are probably in the Bay Area

It’s all the same. Spend a week in Vegas and you’ll see what I mean. Miami has equally good live music, and better at anything else.

Visit both for a few weeks, decide which one you don’t want to leave. Or just hop between the two.

I think nobody actually lives on the strip. Most Las Vegas people live outside the strip and drive 10 minutes there. I can’t imagine a life of gambling and strippers every week. But I think that is a single guys fantasy, go for it.

Your TC is $140k and you are worried about $700? lol

With that kind of income you should be able to get a place up to 600k+. You will able to get a nice housevin both Vegas or South Florida for that money. You can find cheaper condos in South Florida that aren’t at the beach. I’m in Vegas btw.

    Where are you coming from?

Las Vegas seems like a terrible place to live. Unless you like to gamble 24/7 you can do way better than that.
