Hi all,

I got an offer from Microsoft Azure. HR matched me to a team under SDN and do attack protection related stuff.

Is this a good team?

I am also interested in cloud computing, should I ask recruiter for a match in Azure Compute?

Thanks!

Edit: I am eng

I'm currently in Compute. It's great. I feel like we have the majority of good customer having features.

    Are you eng or pm?

Edit: Also, congrats on your offer!

Thanks! I am eng! Which team in cloud specifically are you in? Are the projects fun? How’s the WLB?

I'm in Core Compute. Everything from fabric to efficiency it's all great. WLB is good, when you're not on call or dealing with sev2/1

I personally know people working in networking team and I also received offer from azure networking team. WLB is not great according to the Microsoft standards, but should be better compared to Amazon or Facebook. Their projects seemed really interesting and would be great learning opportunity.

Thanks! Do you also know someone in Azure Compute? Not sure which team is better.

Both are pretty big. You need to know more of which part of compute. You sound like DDOS prevention team on the SDN side (not sure of WLB).

I'm from SDN team. Less than 1yr yoe. Ask me anything.
WLB isn't Microsoft average good, but that's the price of higher than average compensation.
