Microsoft Background Check Processing Time?
how long does this take? I have heard horror stories of how long the bg check process can take at MSFT, but just curious to see what the folks on blind have had to put up with as far as turnaround time? on azure/cloud team to be specific. support hire microsoft fargo TC: 120k
1-2 weeks is normal
Not a us citizen took 3 days
Mine took about 2 weeks. They couldn’t figure out how to contact some of my previous employers (even with the direct phone numbers) so every day they’d ask me for proof/letter. Then they’d validate it, and the next day ask for the next employer. Pretty stupid, but it got done.
Make sure your are super correct on your hire dates. If not you will probably lose the job. I was hired and received my offer letter and my compensation package. 3 days later the background team came back and said my hire dates did not match up in what I put down for jobs 13 year ago. Long story short I am banned for 5 years because they said I lied on my application. I am like how in the world does someone remember when they got hired 13 years ago. Just my luck I guess🤷🏽♂️

Usually takes 24-48 hours
1 week at max.
Mine took almost exactly one month.
Still waiting , already in 2nd week. I worked and studied abroad. A friend took a month. He is US citizen and never work or lived outside US.
took me a week. pretty quick if you’re a us citizen. i knew another guy who took 1 month but he wasn’t a citizen.
