I've been to Microsoft onsite interviews.
Interviews with 2 principal engineers were very good (system design), interview with manager (leetcode algorithm) was a crap, and last interview with another engineer was probably neutral.
I got this feedback from recruiter: "...team will not be moving forward with an offer at this time, but they think you would make an excellent hire for Microsoft. I have shared your profile with some other hiring managers ..."
Is that standard feedback or are they usually honest about this?
- Microsoft 24blueIf you were given that response, it is probably true. They likely had a better candidate but will shop your resume a little. I would take that as a good outcome.
