Interviews went fine (for Azure) and I have been told that the recruiter will contact me soon.
Does Microsoft ask for current TC before rolling out the offer ? If yes, should I reveal it ? If not, how can I avoid it and will it have a negative effect ? Would really appreciate your inputs folks !
Current numbers: IC4 (~ 11 YOE) with INR 37.5 LPA base, stocks INR 5 L (over four years)

This is admittedly very high end in L63 stocks wise from what I know but hopefully this gives a ballpark.
I agree with not including 30% because that makes no sense. But if you meet expectations then you definitely get 15%
Shouldโve been - include only 15% of bonus in TC / donโt include the other 15% of bonus in TC
Level - L63
Base - 40.5 LPA (8% bump over current)
Stock - 28k USD over 4 years (~ 4.5 LPA)
Joining bonus - 7 LPA (4+3 over 2 years)
Performance bonus - 0 - 30 % (going to consider 50% for TC calculation i.e. 6 LPA)
Car (transport) allowance - 2 LPA (never seen anyone mention this on Blind so need to clarify WTH this is and how will it be paid)
TC ~ 55-57 LPA
My gut feeling is that base could be a wee bit better and RSUs are terrible (kind of expected). What do you think would be practical to negotiate and by how much ? Base/Stocks/Level ? Please chime in and help me close this. Thanks for all your inputs so far !
Should I also (for the sake for it) include a "why"? As in " I would be comfortable with so and so because of market standards etc etc.".. Asking because I have been super low balled in stocks and going to ask for more than twice. Just want to play safe and not sound too demanding
The car 'allowance' sounds interesting, share what it's about once you get more details.
- what's the average % bump for the base ? 10/15/20 % ?
- since my current stocks are peanuts, how likely am I to be lowballed on this front ? I see that standard joining stocks are 40-80L (over 4yrs)
You can get atleast 2x of your current TC if your try hard
If your could clear MS azure interview then u should be able to clear most of other interviews with a bit more efforts
No HM/recruiter walks away from a candidate who cleared interviews.
Reg 'car allowance' (mystery component) - I double checked and recruiter confirmed that it was in addition to the base (i.e. base + stocks + perf bonus + joining bonus + car allowance). it has nothing to do with "car lease" either (this is stated separately in the offer and is useless anyway). thats the only positive I guess but still did not make sense to me - maybe they did not include it in base since they will have to consider it for pay revisions, PF etc. going forward. that's the only reason I can think of - happy to hear your thoughts.
Thanks to you folks, I did realise that the base was 'fine' to begin with, so it din't pinch me. But I was shocked to see the heights of low-balling w.r.t stocks!
So that's it right ? Or do you folks have any tips/tricks ? can I reach out to the hiring manager (I am on good terms) considering stocks are so bad! Or am I being too greedy, have the wrong info (stocks should be at least 50k) or this might be too risky ? I only have time until tomorrow (offer expires as per email/recruiter) - appreciate your help!
if i were you, i will accept offer and ask for 45days join instead of 30days and try to get better offer from Amazon, salesforce, ...., after that go for best one else no problem joining MSFT
you were at disadvantage from beginning due to lack of competing offers now you have one, you use it to show to other companies
