No other offers. Interviewing with Amazon again later this month. Base: 118k RSU: 75k/4 Relocation: 8-10k Sign-On: 15k Current TC: Less than half of ^ YOE: 1 I know MSFT is notorious for low balling industry hires. Do you guys think there’s room for negotiation?
How’d you get 60 with 1 yoe? Are you a master’s grad?
It’s a great offer! Benefits are also top notch, including multiple weeks off if you have a child. Based on your current TC you’d be foolish to try and negotiate this, because it just set the true value of your job much higher. Enjoy the offer and show up for work, FFS!
It's average but you have no better options now so be careful.
Do it if it’s double the tc
Standard offer for a new grad but very good one for industry hire
This is not low ball...
What do you mean by low ball ?
That’s super lowball…. Lol who’s your recruiter? You should discuss with them on increasing your options. On average, you should be getting 170k+ tcp for a considerably competitive salary.
I was in the same boat as you, same yoe and level, so negotiated for 200k tcp in the end.

your current TC is less than half of the offer. You only got 1 YOE without any competing offer. And you're saying this is a low-ball? Pretty cool
I’m not saying I’m not taking it. But levels.fyi says it’s lower than the median but above average for what I see for the low ball offers people got a couple years ago on blind.
That's what they think your worth. Do you want to negotiate up and raise the expectations such that it's harder to beat in your performance review? Or keep it low and boost your TC through good perf reviews due to easier expectations.
