So I eventually got the offer from Microsoft for a CSA after weeks of anxious waiting. I must say the comp is underwhelming. L61 bases USD50,000, no signon, USD5000 share options, bonus to be determined on resumption. With over 10 years experience in software development in Nigeria, I had thought that CSA roles start from L62/L64. Does any other person have such low offer from Microsoft with similar YOE. I am thinking of rejecting the offer.

Ya. A quick google check. Out of 1000 middle class Nigerians interviewed. Their monthly income was 480 - 645 USD. Still, I say try to get a higher offer.
61 is low I would say at least 62 if not 63, compare it to other opportinuities and take a decision. $50k in Nigeria is underwhelming? I don't beleive any company will pay half of this in Nigeria.
I have no idea if 50k is good or bad in Nigeria, but I can tell you that a lot of people in Seattle don’t make that much (including many working at Microsoft as vendors). Maybe try to see if you can get on a higher band? Although, at a lower level you can expect to meet your targets more easily and you can always be promoted fast.
You can live pretty well with this salary in Nigeria... Adjusted to COL, people in the Vancouver office probably get it worse with the crazy COL over there.
