How does this offer stack up? $180k base $150k RSU (4 yr vest) $50k signing bonus 0-40% bonus 0-72k RSU refresher Anything stand out as particularly good/bad?
That looks terribly low. I live in the bay area. I'm an se 2 and I get a similar pay. 150k, 150k over 5 years, 50k. 0-20% I do hope a principal engineering manager makes significantly more than that.
One would hope. Alas, it often doesn’t work that way.
Nice package
Base is good but RSU is terribly low! New grads (L59) get 100k rsu. Ask for at least 300k
That is L65. Sounds about standard.
This should be L65 in Seattle.. For that Base is good but cam be around 185-190k. Joining RSU can be more around 250k I guess... Depending on team. Few teams don't go beyond what you listed especially hardware teams Joiner
I know it totally depends on the team, but do you have a sense for what the average bonus achievement is for an average performer? So if bonus is 0-40% what could an average performer expect?
20%... Mid range is the best
Wow, talk about lowball
Your lowballing recruiter could be making more. Jus sayin'
If it makes you feel any better, I’m at Salesforce, at a SDE2 MSFT map level (SMTS here), and my base is nearly identical and RSU same. Meaning, negotiate. Hard.
Yeah that doesn’t look good, you need to put your foot down.
Not good, only slightly better than the 62 pm package a few posts below That’s 66, right, ask for at least 210k, 500k stock, 100k sign on
Principal is 65-67, most new hires will be 65
What level do engineering managers start from - 63? How many levels between starting and Principal engineering manager ?
