My friend just mentioned he will interview at Google and Facebook and they upped their offer from 59 to 60. He had no plans of interviewing 😉

Yeah I believe it, my recruiter currently is dogging me about which companies I plan to interview with and when...at least they're taking steps to retain talent

No salary can be compensation enough for the contempt that your existence as PM creates in this world.

I did, but want to hear it from the folks that are at the company. Apparently, Glassdoor is not too accurate.

Glassdoor numbers in my opinion are definitely realistic.

Glassdoor is generally 10% less than actual median figures, atleast at Microsoft. They probably still have stale data.

Glassdoor is definitely no longer accurate. Salaries in Seattle have gone up a lot in the last couple of years with the extreme fight for talent.

Depends on if your HW or SW. HW side generally makes less money. Also depends on your department. Program Manager in WDS (specifically Surface product line) Reliability made about $80k.

Based on data gathered from more than 7K Program Managers working at Microsoft, we can tell the average salary is $179K per year, ranging from $137K to $222K.

Base Salary is $123K and ranges from $100K to $147K.

You can see all about it in here: https://goo.gl/PXo6Xo

Here's a picture that can show you what the average salary package looks like.

Knowing how the Microsoft rewards system works, very few people with $123K base are getting a $25K bonus - that's top of range for those folks. And $31K annual stock is way out of range. Maybe as signing stock, but annual rewards are much lower at that level.

Those annual rewards are typical of someone with $150K+ base.

The info is from approximately 7K Program Managers at Microsoft who are on the Paysa Platform, plus watching Microsoft make offers in that range as well.
