How do I know whether at what level a particular position is of Microsoft? I see a lot of people writing L62, 63, 64. I want to understand what is the level I will be joining?

Check the Stock Level assigned to the position. Higher the figure, bigger the pay :)

Level 59-60: PM/SDE. Most college hires start at level 59. Level 61-62: PM/SDE 2 Level 63-64: Senior PM/SDE. Level 65-67: Principal PM/SDE. Director (65), Sr Director (66,67) Level 68-69: Partner PM/SDE. Level 70: Vice President (managers) and Distinguished Engineer (individual contributors) Level 80: Technical Fellow.
