There must be really huge $$ involved, since MS is heaven compared to Amazon.

You know microsoft's pay isn't competitive when a new grad like me is making the same or a bit less than a senior engineer there.

Microsoft’s brain drain has been going on for 6-8 years or more. Anyone who can do better gets out. Hasn’t been a place for the best and the brightest/those with the most ambition in a long time.

My only wish is that we don’t poach more Microsoft middle managers. They can stay.

Microsoft has a well-deserved reputation for horrific middle management. And then when those middle managers come to Amazon (or another company) they wreak havoc. Please stay at Microsoft!

What BS. Article fails to mention that Half of azure is ex-amazon. The Seattle market has 2 big tech employers. Amazon and Microsoft.
