Hi I recently got an offer from Microsoft (redmond) for senior program manager (level 63) just wanted to evaluate: Base: 160k Sign on:40k Relocation: 13.5k (this is after tax, net net as per the recruiter) Stocks: 75k for 4 years Annual stock bonus: 24k to 48k (24k is the average) Annual cash bonus: 20k to 34k (20k is the average)
LOL I make this as a dev II at another company non FAANG
160 + 40 + 18.5 + 24 + 20 = around 260k not counting relocation
Need to divide sign on by 4 too. You don’t get sign on every year. The yearly stock is also divided by 5 years. Total comp is base + stock grant/4 + sign on/4 + cash bonus. Stock grant bonus is divided by 5 if you really want to count that.
Recruiter mentioned sign on is upfront one lump sum.
Microsoft is such a joke with stocks
Fuck who pays PMs 160k ? Doing some bullcrap PPTs with some copied metrics , using user voice/ user journeys as an excuse for not having the brains to think a good workflow...
You must be third rate developer who didnt get along with his PM because of lack of social skills.
Hey op do you also feel the stocks aree too low for sneior pgm position
Yeah I feel I could have done little better on stocks. But then again there's an annual stock bonus of 24 to 48k, although it has a vesting period of 5 years.
I'll say negotiate a bit on stocks, yes rewards wise u can get more, but always remember it depends on your performance review and can be lower as well.
Very good offer
