I got an offer for a job at MSFT level 67. It’s a business role. Does anyone know what the level means? Is this like senior role or what is it equivalent to in standard titles (the role has a weird title so I can’t tell)? Like is this equivalent to a Sr Director role or what?
Darn 67 is huge ! Microsoft doesn’t hire many over 66 from outside - well done !
I’m about to make L8
Did you take the Microsoft offer or stuck with Amazon curious. Looking to move to Microsoft and could use a solid referral
Comp?
They haven’t sent the detailed offer yet. Just verbally told me they will send one soon
Haven’t heard of many L8s so wanted to know how comp looks like. Congrats on the big one :)
If you are going as L67, you are top 1000 people in the company. In your next promotion you will be partner which will put you on 1mil+ pay grade. Best of luck.
Congratulations... 67 is great... Just a level or two below CVP
Thanks. Super helpful. One more :) what levels are directors and senior directors at? Are those 65 and 66 respectively usually?
Yes
Directors at MSFT are level 66. 65 is principal.
Director is 65 like principle. 66 SR Director 67 GM. 68+ are Daddy Warbucks
Are you sure? 63, 64 are senior
It's pretty big level. It maps to L8 level at Amazon
Thanks. Any clue on what Principal vs Partner means there? :)
Partner is big deal. That's level 68. Lot of partners from there came as VP here. What is your level at Amazon?
