Microsoft offer

I got a Microsoft offer as a software engineer in the US. I am not American (need work visa). I am a recent graduate (BS not MS) with no previous experience and no competing offer.

Base: $110k
Signing bonus: $15k
Stock: $65k over 4 years

Is this good? Should I try to negotiate? As said before, I have no competing offers so I do not have leverage.

Not bad. You can't negotiate if you don't have competing offers. L60?

It doesn’t look like L60 offer, base seems too low

Does this mean it is not a good offer? I am willing to apply elsewhere or go to grad school, as I am already admitted in a grad school.

L60 is given to masters, PhD, or returning interns.

Take it, of course. You have 0 experience and just having microsoft on your resume puts you on a whole different level.

This is standard new grad offer. If you have any leverage you can move it up to 50k sign on and 120k stocks

Slightly below average for a Microsoft new grad, but a great offer nonetheless compared to the average new grad not on blind.

It depends on when you interviewed and got the offer. You are probably getting the numbers for the new year

Good offer. If you are from one of the top universities in US or have competing offers, new grads can get like 150k RSU but you are not in such a case hence good offer.

Without competing offers and no current job, they are not going to budge.

Try to negotiate and don't accept the first offer you receive (don't be too greedy). If they are getting you a work visa you'll be stuck with them till you get your green card. So try to negotiate your stocks or base. Also comps differ from state to state CA, NY, WA or Massachusetts are expensive places to live. If couldn't get anything go with it. You are still young and plant of time to prove yourself and get where you want to be. Don't listen to stupid MAGA (Mericans!) who want to demotivate you. The country needs talent like you and they should be happy to have you here.

The offer is for WA. I will try to negotiate..I am not desperate to accept the offer. I think I have chances of getting a job in another company (yes, it was a bit silly of me to apply only to one company). If not, I can go for a MS (in the US also) and try again in 2 years

Yeah, Google, Amazon (AWS), Facebook and many more badly need people. Good luck, Microsoft and IBM wouldn't be my first choice.

Hardly get stocks at Microsoft. Not until L63. Even at 63 and 64 they are minimal.

Hard to negotiate without competing offers but you can push stock up to 100k.
