155 + 150k(rsu) +50k sign on L62 for 10 yr experiece . Bay area . What should be the good offer ? How much do they negocite ?
Holy shit! I only got 145k + 40k rsu +20k sign on for L62 last year and wasn't able to negotiate much. I only had 3 yoe though. So yoe does really add lots of weight for rsu
It's hard to say. It's better than 90% of the industry hire offers I've seen around here, but there's definitely room for negotiation especially if you have a competing offer. The level 60 offer I got this year was 118+ 130k rsu and 75k sign on for Redmond for 0 yr of experience. I had a competing offer from Fb
do they negotiate further or let it go candidate ?
anyways i gonna reject this offer if they don’t negotiate .
Make sure you are willing to truly walk. Try to negotiate and share a rational basis. They don’t typically react to “i saw on levels.fyi...”. You need to approach from either current basis or im talking to another company which is a very different compensation discussion, or my family needs to stay whole and I was expecting a much more compelling offer...
Competing offers can get your level up
What profile is this position?
How are the refreshers at Microsoft?
150K RSU sounds nice. That’s worth $22.5M. Base is irrelevant.
What is that calculation ? Where do the $22.5M come from ? thanks
Almost guaranteed it's 150k USD not 150k shares or he'd accept in a literal PLANCK second
Why L62 at 10Yrs? Did u screw up any round. Offer looks good, level not so much.
no it went all well . they started with low balling i guess .
Or the role you are being hired for was originally entered as an L62 and they don’t want to go through stuff of reclassifying for higher level? E.g. they found great talent (you) for what was originally specified as l62 hire...
