I'm expecting an offer from Microsoft azure team. I have a competing offer from company A. Company A mentioned that I could get base in the range 150-160. I haven't got the stocks or other comp details from them yet. MS Recruiter will be calling me to discuss compensation soon. What is a reasonable amount that I can tell? I don't want to tell a number that will scare them and at the same time don't want to get myself a low-ball offer. I checked levels.fyi and I'm confused as to whether I fall under l62 or l63 YOE - 2 in US + Master's + 2 in home country. Location : Bay area (current + MS offer too) Current TC : not worth mentioning lol
“Company A”mazon?
I highly doubt that, you would get l63 with 2 years sap experience
Lol ok! Work was good at SAP, not on any legacy tech! Anyway maybe the competing offer helps?
Hmm no, level is not a negotiation point based on competing offers (usually). Its extremely unlikely to be offered a senior position unless you have solid design skills and were massively praised for cross team collaboration on previous job.
You will get level 59 or 60, 110k base.
Move to Seattle, cheaper
I don't know why you are having such high expectations, they are no where gonna offer you L63. I don't mean to be rude at all but they don't consider SAP in their league(they would have a decent idea as to how much you are making). I am expecting you will get L61/62 with base 140ish, Stocks - 120k and joining 30-40
Thank you. I do not have high expectations :). I was just confused about the levels. And moreover I was trying to get an idea about a ballpark figure that I can expect. TC wise what you said makes sense. Thanks

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?

They don't have a big presence obviously but they do have teams here. At least that's what I heard from them
