Which language is more important to have if I was looking to get hired at Microsoft? C# or Java? These are the only languages I can choose at school and I know C# seems to be more Windows and .NET centric but Java is everywhere, maybe even present inside Microsoft. So, which one is better to get in at Microsoft? 🤔
Nobody cares about Java in MS! Go for C#, if you want to do system work, C++ is nice to have too.
Haha I figured. Thanks @Microsoft!
No one cares about language. Any decent dev would pick up most languages pretty quickly. Same reason they ask you to use any language during interviews
Is this a trick or a troll question? I mean, you must be kidding, right?
Honest question fam. As long as you are respectful, do let me know what you think!
C# because it's a Microsoft technology and not Java, which is perhaps Microsoft's .NET most fierce competitor ... ?
C++
powershell
VB script
who is saying java ? Literally every team I know is using C# in msft
That just confirms what I suspected. Microsoft is C# dominated. Hehe good to know!
Why on Earth would anybody use Java in MS? It adds absolutely no value and with Oracle going after Google, most other companies don't care much about it either. Net Core is now open source and MS is betting big on it, so that lots of developers.
Just use whichever you're more comfortable with.
Thanks @SAP I'm new to both so I'd have to start from scratch either way.
