Got onsite interviews scheduled for iOS Engineer positions at Facebook & Google. Looking for advice on preparing for mobile app architecture interviews. I’ve been referencing Grokking the System Design Interview and HiredInTech, but those focus on backend/server design. The recruiter mentioned that the focus of my interviews will be Client/App side architecture. Any recommendations on how to prepare for large scale mobile app design interviews?
Does google have a mobile specific system design? From my experience it was a generic system design round without any focus to mobile?
Did you interview for a mobile development position? Can you share what they asked?
What do you do at Apple?
Facebook does mobile specific , google does general (heck most interviewers didn’t know swift at all when they interviewed me
Hey op, pm me if you still want to do the ios system design training

Thanks! Looks like there isn’t much focus on design patterns and client side API design then?
Discussions should include apis, design patterns as well. But the focus should be optimizing memory, network footprint.
