Is it just me or has morale plummeted in the past few weeks? At least in GSS, there was an email accidentally sent out that explained how much a new hire TPM II in security makes. Largely it was more than most Sr TPMs make.

You have to change companies every few years to keep your pay competitive. Nobody is going to give a huge raise to someone they believe isn’t going anywhere else.
Seconding. At age 30 my pay was 27% above what I started at. Now, at 43, it's 23% above what I started at. They know I'm no longer marketable, so why pay more? Should have jumped somewhere in my 30s.
It’s because they’re focusing on the wrong things. Unfortunately there’s a singular focus on D&I at the expense of everything else.

This is not new. I feel they will make security BU the best out there and sell the BU to someone else.

I believe it is mostly due to the layoffs quarter after quarter while we are spending large amounts of money acquiring crappy companies like Soha and spending 17 million on marketing campaigns
Did anyone raise this issue to the team involved in making sure there are no pay descripancies? Recently there was some kind of investigation done by a third party regarding pay equality at Akamai

I am not sure raising this type of issue is promoted. It's either move up or move out for healthy pay increases 😃
