Any amazonians who moved to Google: what are your biggest frustrations or disappointments after the move (if any)? I am considering a move.
It’s an encyclopedia of how not to do things
Is the encyclopedia wrong, though? Just curious. And which aspects do you agree or disagree with?

Too much focus on design docs and promo process.
No customer obsession
NASDAQ:GOOG Google is all perk and no reward because no matter how many RSU they give you their stock doesn't grow in the end so you never get the big paydays like you're used to at Amazon. Of course the future could be different but at least for the last 10+ years it's been true.
This is one concern for me. They give $ worth of GSU and not a fixed number. There upside is capped (though in return the downside is protected). Had an amazing time with Amazon RSUs for the past few years.
You should compare stock growth in the lifetime of the companies Google 20 years Amazon 24 years I'd say stock growth for Google is much faster right? Don't just pick a time frame that supports your argument. Regardless, always value RSUs based on today's price because the future is uncertain Also you get refreshers that aren't impacted by stock growth, unlike Amazon. So they stack up year over year. And annual bonus. 15% for L4-5, 20% for 6 And $9k 401k match that vests immediately. 3 year vesting at Amazon
Why didn't I move earlier?
