I joined Apple 10 months ago as a software engineer and I work at Apple Park. Is it too soon a move to request remote work in the same team from Seattle (does Apple even allows that given your team has no presence in the Seattle office) or look for a new team?

He/she must have a compelling reason wanting to move so fast. And it's crappy Bay Area ..

It’s up to your manager. Some manager are fine with it. Some tolerate it. Some don’t. There is some manager that even refuse remote work for the sole purpose of dealing with visa issues.

And I’ve seen people transfert team from Cupertino to San Francisco just to save on transit.

I don’t think you’ll get much traction at 10 months, particularly moving to an office that has nothing to do with your team. You basically need to convince somebody the team can’t do without you. Also, you’ll have to take a pay cut.
