They want to “fast track me” and want to bring me in for an initial 2 hour interview.
How is it over there in NYC? Perks? Just curious, I don’t know if it’ll match anything here but I’m interested in the work they’re supposed to be doing.

Stock trading is not restricted to 24hours approval. Thats false. You can trade stocks freely, but can't sell them without holding them for 30 days, unless you are losing money, then you can sell even immediately. Cannot do options.
Other perks.
Free access to all museums to you + 1 sometimes +3 in New York city.
401k is 50% match
Pantry is free, snacks drinks fruits breakfast.
There is no free lunch, since BB believes in sustaining local businesses. But they have what they call "Soup" at noon everyday. Free dinner at 8:30 pm if you work late.
Free shuttles to home if you work later than 8.
Free conference tickets if you want to attend any. Just need to suggest to your manager and explain relevancy.
Free badminton membership for the year.
50% reimbursement to wellness related expenses like gym, bikes etc.
Tech stack is modernizing fast and I'd argue it's better than most as of today in software infrastructure.
Also low or no bullshit or beareauctacy but that may differ from team to team.
Also contributions to OSS and tech standards like TC39 etc are highly encouraged.
Also shiny offices and state of the art standing desks chairs etc is a given.
For annual party, they rent Randall's island for two days and it basically has everything for those two days including booze concerts and what not
Contuniouks education is more emphasized than I have ever seen before with access to lots of courses and trainings throughout year.
You can look up internal job postings and switch teams every year
None of this compares to the usual perks at the tech companies these days, but honestly if you get paid 400+ then this is hardly a concern.
Also great for people with families who stopped caring about work 10 years ago
On the flip side is the dinosaur tech stack, crippling tech debt, politics and micromanagement, rampant nepotism and nontransparency.
BBG recruiters would sell you the moon and once you're reeled in it's too late to realize none of the fantasy in the job ad is true.
I would not switch here from FAANG, except if you're from Amazon.
